On January 12, 2018, the Jazz Journalists Association presented the JJA Jazz Awards at the 2018 Awards Banquet hosted at The New School University in New York City. Emceed by WBOG’s Monifa Brown, honorees who were present to receive their awards included pianist Kurt Elling, singer Kurt Elling, bassist, Linda May Han Oh, photographer Richard Conde, and Yulan Wang on behalf of Pi Recordings. Musical interludes performed by Leni Stern Trio, Min Xiao-Fen, Polly Gibbons and trio, Mimi Jones Quartet.
