Jazz Journalists Association celebrated 19th Annual JJA Jazz Awards at the 2015 Awards Gala at Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City. Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Randy Weston spoke and performed. Music was also performed by Fula Flute, Antoinette Montague and Danny Mixon, Mimi Jonest’ quintet .
Presentations were also given by journalists, broadcasters, photogs, label heads, industry friends including Robin Ahrold, Angelika Beener, Nate Chinen, Gary Giddins, Evan Haga, Jana Herzen, Michael Jackson, Ashley Kahn, Howard Mandel, Neil Tesser, Linda Yohn.
