Herb is the executive director of Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation. He is a DC native and lifelong resident who graduated from Duke Ellington School of the Arts s an alto saxophonist. He studied under Rodney Whitaker and Diego Rivera at Michigan State University and has performed at venues ranging from the White House and Lincoln Center to Mr. Henry’s Restaurant, the Capitol Hill spot at which he founded the Capitol Hill Jazz Jam in in 2015. He founded Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation in 2015.
