On June 18, 2020, the Jazz Journalists Association hosted the 2020 Awards Streaming Party to honor the 2020 Award Winners.
Since 1997, the annual JJA Jazz Awards galas held in prestigious New York City venues have become warmly anticipated must-attend jazz sphere events. Due to COVID-19 pandemic limitations on in-person gatherings, the JJA moved its Awards celebration online. The 2020 award-winners joined moderated discussions on Zoom about how they responded to the current creative challenges and social issues.
